Platform of Change

It sure is putzy to pay for a purchase by involving pennies and dimes, but the world’s become so quick ‘n slick, a bit of putzing is good for the mind and even better for the soul. Oki-ni’s shop graciously reminds us all of the poppy yet practical merits of the plastic coin purse (and thereby the forgotten charm of coins themselves.)

These eye-popping pouches remind me of my beyond-great grandfather, and of 1982, and of gift shops at Mt. Rushmore. So it’s not a question of whether or not I’m gonna need one this spring, it’s a question of in how many different colors?
